My and my family of 6 had a great time at the Bluefin Cottage. The house is really beautifully decorated and has a great location right on the cliffs, great for hiking along the cliff path into the town centre. The cottage is really 5 star quality and is very well equipped with all utensils imaginable. We never got the wifi to work which was a shame. Apart from that, we have no complaints whatsoever! This house (66 on 8th) is the perfect quiet escape. It is in a great area. Very safe and its a short walk to to some amazing beaches. The house is a good size and is perfectly equipped (from beach chairs to bbqs) Elaine was the perfect host and gave us some great tips. Someone will be at your destination to hand over keys, provide guidance on access to all of the villas main facilities and give important contact numbers and information about local events and activities.
Why spend your precious holiday time in the grocery store? Firefly can arrange to have all your favourite foods and beverages waiting in the fridge on your arrival.
Don’t feel like cooking? Where applicable Firefly can arrange for your own personal cook for a special meal or daily meal preparation.
Have something to celebrate? Some of our getaways make fabulous venues for your one-of-a-kind event, we are happy to help you coordinate.
We can arrange for a private massage therapist or book your spa treatments. Private yoga instructors are another guest favourite.
Is there anything else we can arrange for you?
Housekeeping, car chair or cot hire, babysitting, professional photo shoots, chauffeurs, helicopters, restaurant or tee-off time reservations…no request is ever too big or too small.
Firefly Villas, Getaways and Retreats acts as booking agents on behalf of accommodation owners and managers that it represents. The rental contract entered into is between the owner or property manager/representative and the guest. The contract is not effective until required payment has been received and confirmation has been sent to the guest. The number of guests occupying a property may not exceed the maximum number of guests stated in the booking confirmation. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the contract being cancelled without refund.
Events, functions and parties
The majority of our getaways have rules governing their usage. Special permission most be obtained for functions where the number of guests in attendance exceeds the capacity of the property and or maximum number of guests stated in the booking confirmation.
Provisions and guest services
All Firefly villas are fully equipped with bed linens, towels, swimming/beach towels and basic toiletries and cleaning supplies. All Firefly villas will have a representative on standby for the duration of your stay. Not all villas are serviced daily, in most cases this is offered for an additional fee. Check to see the additional services offered per villa and getaway. Guest services like grocery stocking are offered at an additional charge and available services differ from villa to villa.
A deposit of 50% of the booking amount is required to secure the reservation. Firefly will issue you with an invoice for your stay, containing all the terms. The invoice is valid for 72 hours and a deposit is required within that time to secure your booking. You will be sent a reminder to pay the balance no less than 5 days prior to arrival. Security deposits are worked out at one night’s stay or 20% whichever is greatest. Security deposit are refunded within 14 days after departure.
Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will result in the full deposit being retained. Cancellations made over a month before will result in 10% of the booking amount retained to cover administrative costs.
Arrival and departure times
Check in time 14h00 and check out 10h00 or by prior arrangement.
Damage or losses
The guest is responsible for leaving the property in good order and in a clean condition. The guest further undertakes to pay for any damages or losses incurred during occupation. The owner or property manager reserves the right to repossess the property if the guest or a member of their party has caused excessive damage or has failed to comply with any of the villa or getaway’s rules.
While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure that safety measures are in place at all our getaways, villas and retreats. Firefly getaways, villas and retreats, its agents, servants, owners and assigns do not except any liability whatsoever for any injury, loss or damage sustained to any person or property whilst staying in any of the (accommodation) getaways, villas and retreats booked through us.
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
