Located just a 4 minutes’ stroll away from Davies Pool and a 5 minute drive from the blue flag status Onrus beach, Waterpear Cottage promises to delight guests with white, light and bright open spaces, yet a sense of intimacy. Designed for family fun and entertainment, this comfortable self-catering accommodation with a contemporary farmhouse feel and a beautiful garden with 15 waterpear trees hugging a large lawn, is an Onrus gem.

All entrances lead to a relaxing sundeck overlooking the garden, with a built-in braai and pizza oven at the main entrance clearly stating what is expected of the braai king / queen. From the braai area, guests walk into a haven of peace and quiet, with an open plan lounge, tv lounge, dining room and kitchen being the hub of entertainment. Guests can have a picnic on the lawn while enjoying the view of the Overberg mountains in the distance.

The finely furnished home can accommodate 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms. Bedrooms 1 and 4 contain queen-size beds. Bedrooms 2 and 3 comprise of extra wide king-size beds or 3/4-size twin bed conversions. All bedrooms share two modern bathrooms down the passage, one with a large shower and the other with a bath.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, a gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, a kettle and toaster, a dishwasher, and an ice maker. A separate laundry features a washing machine and dryracks with a starting pack of cleaning materials. In the tv lounge is a big screen tv with DStv. Free WiFi is available with UPS back-up. Guests can enjoy the private garden, as well as the outdoor seating area for alfresco dining and braai facilities. Secure parking on the premises is available to guests.

The house is ideally located within a short drive to Onrus Beach, the Coffee Corner, which serves fabulous breakfast and lunches. The Heartbeat Cafe deli and bakery serves delicious, fresh croissants and artisan breads everyday. The well-known Milk Restaurant offering superb breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as Molteno’s restaurant can be reached in a couple of minutes. Onrus is excellent for walking along the coastal paths, and perfect for nature lovers, and the Onrus beach is one of the top rated beaches in the country.
