Riverside Manor

Riverside Manor is the ultimate in luxury holiday living in a beautifully decorated mansion with panoramic views of the sun drenched Overberg mountains and the peaceful surroundings of Onrus River. It is located only a short drive from Hermanus central. The artistically designed home with stunning garden offers plenty of spaces to relax and entertain, with views that draw attention from anywhere in the house, inspiring rest, revitalisation and reflection. A jetty on the river banks enables water enthusiasts access to go paddle boarding or kayaking.

The house comprises 5 en-suite bedrooms and can accommodate 10 guests. The main bedroom, situated on the first floor level, contains a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a large shower, a walk-through dressing area and a balcony overlooking the lush greenery of the Onrus River lagoon, indigenous forestry and the swimming pool below. The second bedroom is also situated on the first floor and contains a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a bath/shower combination, and exits onto the balcony as well. Both rooms share a private tv lounge and desk space ideal for work-from-home. The third bedroom is located on the ground floor and exits onto the patio below with views of the courtyard garden, fire pit and outdoor dining area. It contains a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with large shower. Adjoining the third bedroom is another tv lounge with large flat screen tv, perfect for kids entertainment. Bedroom 4 comprises of a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower. Bedroom 5 consists of twin beds. A nifty loft connects the two rooms. An adjoining guest bathroom with spacious shower is available to guests of the fifth bedroom.

The open-plan living area includes an idyllic open-plan kitchen, dining area, and a third tv lounge with fireplace, all connected to large sundeck areas. The courtyard deck features a portable gas braai, table tennis table, an under-cover al fresco dining table and seating area. The fire pit is the cherry on the cake! On the river side, there is another outdoor seating area and deck embracing the lovely salt water pool, providing sundowner entertainment with exotic views of the river and mountains. The jetty can be reached with only a couple of steps down the decking pathway. The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 integrated fridge/freezer combinations, a gas hob and electric oven, an air fryer, Nespresso coffee machine, and a separate scullery with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Starter-pack cleaning consumables and toiletries are provided.

Additional features include a wood-fired portable stainless steel braai/bbq, free Wi-Fi with full DSTV, 3 TV’s, and free parking for 4 cars.

The house is ideally located within walking distance to Onrus Beach. Just down the road a minute’s walk away is the Coffee Corner, which serves fabulous breakfast and lunches. The Heartbeat Cafe deli and bakery serves delicious, fresh croissants and artisan breads everyday. The well-known Milk Restaurant offering superb breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as the Onrus beach, is a mere 6 minutes’ stroll away. Moltenos restaurant can be reached in 2 minutes by car and offers tasty Pizza and home-style cooking. Onrus is excellent for walking along the coastal paths, and perfect for nature lovers, and the Onrus beach is one of the top rated beaches in the country.
