Selah is majestically positioned at the hang of the iconic Overberg Mountain range, providing superior views of both the azure-blue ocean and lush Fynbos mountain scape.  With dramatic architecture emulating the beautiful flow of the encapsulating peaks, Selah offers true luxury from every vantage point, and is a peaceful safe haven for guests who want to pause and reflect. This villa features spacious self-catering accommodation, ideal for families in need of vast open spaces, yet desiring the need for privacy.  The sleek pool and undercover BBQ/braai area are set for family entertainment, whilst the Fynbos garden attracts birdlife from afar.

Upon having crossed a tranquil pond bridge, guests are beckoned to step into Selah’s grand display of spectacular wooden architecture throughout the spacious main living, dining and kitchen areas, a feature unlike any other in Hermanus. Fine art and furniture compliment the cathedral-like ceilings, and are carefully expressed throughout. The mountain-side garden court and pool area are a main attraction with relaxation, entertainment and family togetherness being the centrepiece for much needed pause-and-reflect moments. The large el fresco dining table and outdoor braai/BBQ enhance the joy of holiday fun, and this is pulled into the main living area of the villa. A lovely fireplace in the lounge shouts, “Stay… Stare… Reconnect… Revitalise.”

The home can accommodate 12 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms and loft room, 3 of which are in the main house. The fifth room is an en-suite pool cottage room. The main en-suite bedroom contains a King size bed and has a private balcony with beautiful views of the mountain. The bathroom features a shower. The second and third bedrooms contain king-size beds and they have adjoining bathrooms, one featuring a shower and the other a bath, which can be used by guests from the fourth loft room comprising 2 sleeper couches; ideal for children. These rooms share a balcony overlooking the ocean and garden.  The loft room also has a smart tv. The outside cottage room comprises a double bed, mini fridge, coffee machine and adjoining bathroom with a shower.

The main house open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, a gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, a kettle and toaster, a coffee machine, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as basic cleaning materials. In the tv lounge is a smart tv. A back up battery system counters the effects of load shedding. Guests have secure parking for 4 cars (one in a garage), and the property is secure with an alarm system. Free wi-fi is available on demand.

The house is ideally located within a short drive to Onrus Beach, the Coffee Corner, which serves fabulous breakfast and lunches. The Heartbeat Cafe deli and bakery serves delicious, fresh croissants and artisan breads everyday. The well-known Milk Restaurant offering superb breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as Molteno’s restaurant can be reached in a couple of minutes. Onrus is excellent for walking along the coastal paths, and perfect for nature lovers, and the Onrus beach is one of the top rated beaches in the country.
